Guide to Mooloolaba Events
What's happening, when & where
Mooloolaba hosts some really cool sporting events throughout the year. These events
add a carnival atmosphere to the beach & sometimes, like during the Mooloolaba Triathlon, they involve
closing the Mooloolaba Esplanade for a few hours as the event is run at the beach, right in the heart of
town.
Many people consider these as prime sporting events not to
missed; they are sensational to watch live from Mooloolaba, being so close to the action on the beach, or your
balcony or along the kerb, cheering the champions on.
Other folks book their holiday for a relaxing getaway,
preferring a quieter holiday without all the fuss, hype & extra people. That's why we've listed these
Mooloolaba events & a few others along with their dates here, so you can make an informed choice before you
book. Queensland school holidays will be listed here soon. Other states of Australia also have different school
holiday dates, so please be aware when booking — if you don’t wish to share your pool with the
schoolkids.

The Christmas Lights Boat Parade is an annual event to bring the
spirit of Christmas to Mooloolaba. Mooloolaba also hosts a fantastic family-friendly New Years Eve event each year
with music, entertainment, & 2 fireworks displays, so put Mooloolaba on your calendar when you want to see the
New Year in with a big bang & a beach party!
