Mooloolaba by Air
Australia’s major domestic carriers Virgin Blue, Jetstar & Tiger Airways fly direct daily to the Sunshine Coast Airport & Brisbane Domestic Airport. Both airports offer many options for transfer to Mooloolaba. Rental cars, limousines & airport transfers are available with SunAir bus service operating numerous door-to-door shuttle services each day from Brisbane Airport (80 minutes from Mooloolaba) plus regular shuttle bus services meeting each plane from Sunshine Coast Airport (15—20 minutes from Mooloolaba). International visitors fly into Brisbane International Airport with airport transfers by bus, limousine or hire car available.

Mooloolaba by Car
Mooloolaba is 110kms north of Brisbane & just over an hour’s drive (70 minutes) at non-peak times. The M1 Bruce Highway is the major connecting road from Brisbane as you head NORTH to the Sunshine Coast.

Once you leave the outskirts of Brisbane’s northern suburbs, this double lane highway passes through scenic pine forests & you’ll spot the spectacular Glass House Mountains on the left, as you are heading north. Just after you pass Ettamogah Pub on your left along the Highway, make sure you are in the left lane, to take the next exit which is clearly signposted to Mooloolaba. This brings you onto the Sunshine Motorway.

Follow the Sunshine Motorway straight through to Mooloolaba. Once you've driven past the Noosa turnoff, stay in the left lane to merge left into local Brisbane Road. Follow Brisbane Road right through to the Mooloolaba Esplanade & there you are — at THE BEACH! Mooloolaba Beach.

Interstate coaches such as Greyhound stop at Mooloolaba. Sunshine Coast Sunbus services connect to Mooloolaba from Caloundra to Noosa with pickups & dropoffs at the carpark in Brisbane Road, Mooloolaba, close to the beach, walking distance to most accommodation, just behind the Mooloolaba Esplanade.

Mooloolaba by Train
Electric trains travel several times a day to & from Brisbane to Nambour heading north or Cairns to Nambour heading south. Nambour is 20 mins drive from Mooloolaba. Sunshine Coast Sunbus services connect from Nambour Station to Mooloolaba. Travelling time from Nambour to Mooloolaba is approx. 20—30 minutes. Mooloolaba by Boat
Popular Mooloolaba Harbour is a breakwater-protected river mouth capable of handling maxi-yachts with 12—14ft draught. Both the Mooloolaba Yacht Club & The Wharf Mooloolaba offer excellent marina facilities in the heart of Mooloolaba. BYO boat!
